English Language Development (ELD)Services

ELD is a free program.
ELD classes are taught at Shady Spring Elementary School during the school day.
Students take ELD classes based on a placement test.
Summer school and additional support is available for some ELD students.

ESOL Welcome Center

Students MUST enroll through the ESOL Welcome Center if:

Shady Spring's front office directs family to Welcome Center
The student is in grades 1-5
The student is moving to Shady Spring from out of state or abroad

Note: Kindergarten students do not go to the ESOL Welcome Center. They are tested at Shady Spring Elementary School.
